Shipping Policy
Absolute Zero Plunge Last updated: August 21, 2026
By placing an order with Absolute Zero Plunge ("Absolute Zero," "we," "us"), you agree to the terms below.
These terms are part of our Terms of Sale and apply to every order unless we agree otherwise in a signed
writing.
1. Where We Ship
We ship to the 48 contiguous United States. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses, PO boxes, or international destinations unless arranged in advance and quoted separately in writing. Orders placed to excluded destinations may be cancelled and refunded at our discretion, less any payment processing fees actually incurred. If you arrange your own freight forwarder, consolidator, or third-party carrier, our responsibility ends when the product is tendered to that party. All risk, damage, and loss thereafter is yours.
2. Order Processing
Orders are processed Monday–Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays. Standard processing time: 2–3 business days from the date payment clears. Orders placed after 12:00 PM ET are processed the following business day. Processing time is separate from transit time. Custom, made-to-order, or configured units may require 5–10 business days to build before shipping. We may hold, verify, or cancel any order for suspected fraud, address irregularity, resale activity, or pricing/inventory error. If we cancel, your sole remedy is a refund of amounts paid.
3. Shipping Costs
Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on the destination and product configuration and are quoted for standard curbside freight delivery to a commercially accessible address. Additional charges may apply and, if incurred, will be billed to you or deducted from any refund:
Liftgate service
Residential delivery surcharge
Limited-access delivery (rural routes, gated communities, farms, schools, construction sites, military bases, islands, ferry-required addresses)
Delivery appointment scheduling
Redelivery after a missed appointment
Address correction
Storage or detention fees
Inside delivery, threshold delivery, or placement service (where offered)
Where we advertise "free shipping," that promotion covers standard curbside freight only. Accessorial charges listed above are not included and remain your responsibility.
4. Delivery Estimates Are Estimates
All transit times, ship dates, and delivery windows are good-faith estimates, not guarantees. Absolute Zero is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, or damages — including installation labor, contractor fees, rental costs, missed events, lost income, or consequential damages of any kind — arising from a late or delayed delivery.
Carrier delays, weather, mechanical failure, port and terminal congestion, labor actions, routing errors, and other conditions outside our control do not entitle you to cancellation, refund, discount, or compensation.
5. Freight Delivery — What to Expect
Cold plunge units ship via LTL freight on a pallet. This is not a parcel delivery. Please read this section carefully. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment using the phone number you provide at checkout. Keep that number monitored. Failure to respond to scheduling attempts is the leading cause of storage fees and returned shipments — all of which are billed to you. Delivery is curbside. The driver brings the pallet to the end of your driveway or the nearest safe, accessible point at the curb. Drivers will not carry, place, unpack, install, or move the unit into a yard, garage, basement, or backyard.
You are responsible for having adequate help and equipment on site to receive, move, and place the unit. Plan for at least 2–3 able adults or appropriate equipment.
Someone 18 years or older must be present to inspect and sign for the delivery. We do not authorize unattended drop-offs. If you instruct a carrier to leave a shipment unattended, you release Absolute Zero from all liability for loss, theft, or damage.
Confirm before ordering that a 53' tractor-trailer can safely access your address. If it cannot, tell us in advance so we can quote alternate service. Refusals or reroutes caused by inaccessible addresses are billed to you.
6. Your Inspection Obligations at Delivery — Read Before Signing
This section governs every freight damage claim. Failure to follow it voids your claim. Before you sign the delivery receipt or bill of lading ("BOL"), you must: Inspect the pallet, crate, shrink wrap, and packaging for crushing, punctures, tears, water staining, shifted or leaning load, broken banding, or a tipped/damaged tip-and-tell or shock indicator. Open and inspect the product itself. You have the right to inspect before signing. Drivers are required to allow reasonable inspection time. If a driver refuses or rushes you, write "Driver refused inspection" on the BOL before signing.
Photograph everything — all four sides of the pallet, the packaging, the shock indicators, the product, and the BOL itself — before the driver leaves. Write a specific description of any damage on the BOL before signing. Note the exact location and nature of the damage. Vague notations such as "damaged," "subject to inspection," or "possible damage" are routinely rejected by carriers and are not sufficient. If the damage is severe, refuse the shipment and note the reason on the BOL. Then contact us immediately.
Signing a clean delivery receipt is your legal acknowledgment that the shipment arrived complete and in good condition. A clean, unqualified signature extinguishes the carrier's liability and, accordingly, extinguishes any claim you may have against Absolute Zero for shipping damage. No exceptions.
7. Damage and Shortage Claims
Visible Damage
Notated on the BOL at delivery per Section 6. Report to us at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery with photos, the annotated BOL, and your order number.
Concealed Damage
Damage not reasonably discoverable at delivery must be reported to us in writing within 5 calendar days of delivery, with photographs of the product, the packaging, and the pallet. Do not discard the packaging, pallet, crate, or any packing materials until your claim is fully resolved. Carriers require physical inspection of packaging to adjudicate concealed damage claims. Discarding materials voids the claim.
Shortages
Missing pieces or cartons must be notated on the BOL at delivery and reported within 48 hours.
Claim Resolution
Where a claim is timely, documented, and accepted, our sole obligation — and your exclusive remedy — is, at our election: (a) shipment of replacement parts, (b) repair, (c) replacement of the unit, or (d) refund of the purchase price upon return of the product. We do not reimburse third-party repair costs, installation labor, water, electricity, chemicals, rental equipment, or any incidental or consequential damages. Claims submitted outside the windows above are waived in full.
8. Lost or Missing Shipments
If tracking shows no movement for 7 business days, notify us at [email protected] and we will open a trace with the carrier. Carrier traces routinely take 5–15 business days to resolve. We will not issue a replacement or refund until the carrier completes the trace and formally declares the shipment lost. Chargebacks filed while a trace is open are addressed in Section 13. For shipments marked delivered that you did not receive, you must notify us within 3 calendar days of the posted delivery date and, if requested, file a report with local law enforcement. We are not responsible for theft occurring after delivery is completed.
9. Address Accuracy, Failed Delivery, and Refusals
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the shipping address, contact name, and phone number you provide. Address changes after an order ships may not be possible. If a change is possible, all carrier reconsignment fees are billed to you. Deliveries that fail because of an incorrect address, an inaccessible address, an unresponsive consignee, or no one present at a scheduled appointment will incur redelivery, storage, and/or return freight charges billed to you.
Carriers typically begin assessing storage fees after 2 business days at the destination terminal. These accrue daily and are your responsibility. Shipments refused without documented damage are treated as a customer-initiated return. You are esponsible for the original outbound freight cost, the return freight cost, and the restocking fee described in Section 10 — all deducted from any refund. If those costs exceed the purchase price, the balance is due to us.
Shipments abandoned at a terminal, unclaimed, or returned to us as undeliverable after failed contact attempts may be treated as abandoned property after 30 days, with no refund due.
Returns
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
The purchaser will be responsible for:
1. Return shipping costs.
2. 15% restocking fee.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. To start a return, you can contact us at [email protected]. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. You can always contact us for any return question at [email protected].

Our Story
How grief led me to cold water
In January 2023, days after losing my brother, I joined friends and family for an evening walk to a small, ice-filled river. We had no towels, bathing suits, or nearby place to warm up, but we jumped in together—and returned every day for the next couple of weeks. Back home in my tiny Cambridge apartment, I didn’t have room for a permanent outdoor cold plunge, but I did have a bathtub and an engineering degree.
I began developing designs in fall 2023, working through several iterations, unreliable chillers, damaged products, and other setbacks before arriving at the design we use today. With support from Indiegogo, a line of credit, a small loan, and my own funds, I brought AZplunge to life. Now, half of our profits support addiction recovery efforts in the hope that fewer people will have to face the same cold journey.
