Ten stars. Last night we had a grease fire in the kitchen at our remote cottage (inaccessible by any municipal fire department). It went from nothing to GIANT flames licking the cabin ceiling almost instantly. My husband managed to get a lid on the skillet which helped but flames were still shooting out from around the edges and then the lid slipped off and we were back to inferno. We grabbed one of these fire blankets hanging on the wall and tossed it over and immediately the flames went out. We removed the blanket and WHOOSH the grease immediately reignited. So we put the blanket back on and waited 20 minutes for everything to really cool (and the mess of choking smoke to clear). What a wonderful product. The only minor flaw is that one of the black pull straps melted and left a mark on the stove that may be hard to get off. All good though — a small price to pay. We are extremely pleased and grateful for this product.
