Our Story
I Wanted Foot Care to Be Easier
When I was pregnant with my first child at 21, I started developing callused feet. It reminded me of looking at my parents’ feet as a little girl and being certain mine would never look that way. I tried all kinds of gadgets for smoother feet, but some were messy, some hurt, and most eventually ended up forgotten in a drawer. As my pregnancy progressed and reaching my feet became harder, I started searching for something simpler: a waterproof, fully automatic, hands-free foot scrubber I could use right in the shower.
When I realized that solution didn’t exist, I stopped searching and started building. I wasn’t interested in creating just another foot-care gadget—I wanted to make foot care easy enough to become part of a regular routine. That idea became Tootsie, built around my belief that caring for your feet shouldn’t feel like another chore when it can happen while you’re already in the shower.
