ThinOptics typically ships orders from its fulfillment center in Sonoma, California within 2 business days, with a shipment confirmation email and tracking link sent once the order is dispatched. Domestic orders are shipped using USPS, with delivery generally taking 3–7 business days, while international orders are handled through DHL and may take longer depending on the destination, customs processing, weather, and other external factors. ThinOptics uses DHL and USPS together to improve delivery speed and reach, with USPS often handling final-mile delivery for U.S. orders, including P.O. boxes and remote addresses. International shipping is available, but customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, or import fees, and shipping rates vary by destination.

ThinOptics began during a 20-mile bike ride with a friend who had forgotten his reading glasses. When he asked me to read a text message on his phone because he couldn’t see it, I started thinking: what if reading glasses could simply live on the back of the phone you already carry everywhere? That ride became the starting point for our idea to create thin, comfortable readers that would always be close at hand.

What we thought might take six months of development ultimately took more than 30 months. We tested hundreds of prototypes on thousands of noses because we wanted ThinOptics to fit comfortably and work reliably for every user. Once we got the glasses right, we created the Universal Pod to protect them while keeping them conveniently attached to a phone or other hard, flat surface. That same focus on engineering and everyday convenience continues to guide the vision solutions we create today.
