Our Story
Turning Sunlight Into Something Useful
As a child growing up in Seoul and later upstate New York, I learned from my mother how a simple fold could become a structure through origami. That fascination with form and materials stayed with me through my studies in architecture and my work in material technology. I began experimenting with sewing solar panels onto fabric, exploring ways to make solar energy softer, lighter, and more adaptable. When my son Quinn was diagnosed with asthma, I became even more focused on finding clean-energy solutions.
That work led me to create solar lights inspired by origami—products that fold flat, open easily, and make personal access to solar energy more practical. I believe thoughtful design can make sustainable, healthy living easier and more accessible, while also helping people who live without reliable electricity. Through our products, we continue to combine solar power, material innovation, and purposeful design to help create positive change.
